Ptelepathetique: Music on Mars @ HOPE 15
07-13, 19:30–21:00 (US/Eastern), Marillac Terrace Cafeteria Performance Space

Performance and talk
Join analog astronaut Scott Beibin for a talk and spectral and melodic Ptelepathetique set played through the ‘Music on Mars v1.0’ audio process filter prototype which he designed with John Knott to simulate the acoustic properties of the atmosphere of Mars - based upon data gathered by the Mars Perseverence Rover Supercam team. This version of the prototype was originally used for his Ptelepathetique set played during an EVA while in his two week long Analog Astronaut mission immersion at the Mars Desert Research Station in 2023.

Ptelepathetique is a musical project of inventor, engineer and artist Scott Beibin (Offworld Voyage + Mandelbot Ecotech) that focuses on the creation of instrumental cinematic psychoacoustic soundscapes designed to stimulate focus and creativity.

Ptelepathetique concerts are usually played outdoors in natural settings while using off-grid generated power while consisting of a mix of original musical composition as well as improvisation.

Ptelepathetique is also the soundtrack for Beibin's projects The Groucho Fractal Show and AncientScan.
